Stop Googling specs — get copy-paste code fixes instantly
For every violation Aulys finds, GPT-powered analysis generates a ready-to-use remediation snippet in the same language as your codebase. Each fix includes a plain-English explanation of why the issue matters to real users with disabilities.
- GPT-generated fix snippets — copy and paste straight into your editor
- Multiple fix alternatives when more than one approach applies
- Explains the WCAG criterion and which users are affected
- Covers HTML, ARIA attributes, CSS, and accessible naming patterns

Fix
Block inaccessible code from ever reaching production
Install the Aulys GitHub Action or GitLab CI job in minutes and accessibility checks become a required gate on every pull request. Teams using Aulys in CI/CD report a 70% reduction in accessibility regressions within the first month.
- Native GitHub Actions and GitLab CI support — no custom scripts needed
- Block PR merges when new violations exceed your configured threshold
- Status badges for your README showing current compliance score
- Detailed in-PR comments listing each violation with its fix

- All four VPAT 2.5 editions: WCAG, Section 508, EU (EN 301 549), and INT
- Section 508 and EN 301 549 conformance columns pre-filled from scan results
- Export as polished PDF or structured CSV for your records
- Required for US federal contracts and European EAA compliance
VPAT 2.5 Report
Ready to exportKnow the moment a regression slips through — not when users complain
Schedule automated scans daily or weekly and Aulys compares each run against your baseline. The moment a new violation appears — from a content update, a third-party script, or a framework upgrade — your team gets an alert before any user is affected.
- Daily and weekly scheduled scans with zero manual intervention
- Email and Slack alerts the instant new violations are detected
- Regression detection compares each run to the previous clean baseline
- Historical trend charts show your score improving over time

Turn accessibility from a solo audit into a team habit
Assign violations directly to the developer responsible for that component, track remediation status from Open to Resolved, and maintain a full audit trail for compliance evidence. Role-based access and SSO keep enterprise security requirements satisfied.
- Role-based access control — Owner, Admin, Developer, Viewer
- Assign issues to team members with due dates and priority
- Full audit trail for every scan, fix, and status change
- SSO via SAML 2.0 for enterprise identity providers

Standards covered
One WCAG 2.2 checker, every major accessibility standard
Whether you need to meet US federal requirements, European EAA rules, or simply WCAG conformance — Aulys covers it.
Full A, AA, and AAA criterion checks including all nine new 2.2 criteria. The gold standard for web accessibility.
Complete coverage of mobile, cognitive, and low-vision criteria introduced in 2.1 — all 78 success criteria.
US federal ICT accessibility requirements for government agencies and contractors. Required for federal procurement.
European accessibility standard underpinning the EAA. Mandatory for EU digital products from June 28, 2025.
US website accessibility requirements for public-facing businesses. Courts consistently apply WCAG 2.1 AA as the benchmark.
Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requires WCAG 2.0 Level AA for all public websites.
Aulys itself is built to WCAG 2.2 AA — we use our own tool in production.
Why teams choose Aulys
Automated accessibility testing that fits how engineers work
Developer-first, not an overlay
Aulys gives you real code fixes in your actual codebase — not a JS overlay that masks issues from assistive technology while legal exposure remains.
Zero false-positive guarantee
Every violation maps to a specific WCAG criterion with a human-readable explanation. No noise, no guessing which issues are real.
Shift accessibility left
Running in CI/CD means violations are caught when they are cheapest to fix — at the pull request, before they ever reach staging.
Compliance documentation ready
Auto-generated VPATs and accessibility statements mean your legal team is never waiting on a manual audit before a deal can close.
Never surprised by a regression
Continuous monitoring and instant alerts ensure a third-party script or CMS update never silently breaks your accessibility score.
Scales with your organization
From a single project to hundreds of sites across multiple teams — role-based access, SSO, and audit trails cover enterprise requirements.
FAQ
Common questions about WCAG compliance software
How is Aulys different from free WCAG checkers like axe or WAVE?
Free browser extensions check a single page in isolation without rendering JavaScript, and they stop at detection — you have to research and write the fix yourself. Aulys crawls your entire site, renders JS-heavy content, covers all WCAG 2.2 criteria, and generates copy-paste code fixes for every violation. It also runs continuously in your CI/CD pipeline so regressions are caught before code ships.
Does Aulys cover WCAG 2.2, or only older versions?
Aulys covers WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 in full — including the nine new success criteria added in WCAG 2.2 such as Focus Appearance (2.4.11), Dragging Movements (2.5.7), and Accessible Authentication (3.3.7/3.3.8). You can configure which standard and conformance level (A, AA, or AAA) to enforce per project.
Will the CI/CD integration slow down our build pipeline?
No. The average Aulys scan completes in 1.8 seconds. For most single-page or component-level scans in a PR pipeline, the check adds under 5 seconds to your total build time. You can also configure Aulys to scan only the pages affected by the current pull request rather than your entire site.
Can we use Aulys to generate a VPAT for a government contract?
Yes. Aulys generates all four VPAT 2.5 Accessibility Conformance Report editions — including the Section 508 edition required for US federal contracts and the EU edition covering EN 301 549 for European procurement. Reports are exportable as PDF and include your organisation's information, conformance level assessments, and remarks field populated from your scan data.
What accessibility standard do we need for EAA compliance?
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) requires conformance with EN 301 549, which references WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the primary web standard. Aulys covers every EN 301 549 criterion and generates the EU VPAT edition to document your conformance — giving you the evidence needed for EAA compliance ahead of the June 28, 2025 enforcement deadline.
